LAS RYDS HEARSE CLUB competed in the
Windy City Club Challenge at the
Chicago World of Wheels.
It was the first time this or any club
has ever
competed at the World of Wheels and we totally ROCKED!
We displayed 6 member hearses in a graveyard setting
complete with cemetery gates and columns, mausoleum,
talking mortician,
haunted talking tree to tell the crowd all about LasRyds,
and special
visits from the Grim Reaper himself
giving a few "safety" messages for
the crowd...
little did we know that he's over 8 feet tall.
Out of
the many car clubs entered, LasRyds placed #1, yep, First Place!
How's that for the underdogs coming out on top?
ALL of their hard work
planning, building,
and everything else to make this happen!
Another thanks goes out to Bob Miller
for his "nightmare" of us
competing at World of Wheels
and to everyone who displayed their
hearses,
helped set up and just provided moral support in this great
event.
We'll be back next year!
